Streptavidin, Link and Label
Available for use with HRP or AP, these highly cost-effective kits (half the price of comparable products) are compatible with 4plus predilutes. Using a Streptavidin AP or HRP lowers nonspecific background staining and is much more stable than the ABC complex. Kits are color-coded.
Kits come with Trekkie Universal Link and TrekAvidin-Enzyme. We recommend Betazoid DAB (catalog number BDB2004) for optimal performance with HRP Kit.
STARR TREK Universal HRP and AP and STARR TREK species-specific components are available in bulk amounts. The Trekkie Links are sodium azide and thimerosal free. The longer spacer arm positioned between the biotin and secondary antibody provides a significant increase in sensitivity.
TrekAvidin AP and HRP enzymes are available as individual components. By using non-glycosylated streptavidin, the enzyme is uncharged at neutral pH, lowering nonspecific background staining (6.5 vs. 10). TrekAvidin reagents are very stable and are color-coded.
